Amy NurnbergerMemberHey, all,
I second Felix’s suggestion. We’re building something like this now – it would be great to hear others’ experiences and to think about what we can do together as a community to make these systems work together better.
I’m also in Felix’s situation and will not be able to attend the meeting on Monday. Happy to talk off-line, though!
Cordially,
Amy (she/her)

Hi everyone,
What I think would be an exciting topic are tracking systems for research data that are able to harvest metadata of published research data from various institutional but also external subject-specific repositories and list them centrally, with the possibility to filter by institution.
I don’t think I will be able to attend the meeting on Monday as I am then attending a conference that morning, but wanted to contribute to the possible topics.
Best regards,
Felix

Hi all,
going to be a bit late (prev meeting) but see you then!
Actually I like the middleware topic. Right now, in Germany, lots of ideas are thrown in as for that (clearly iRODS, but also Rucio, Min.IO, etc. … where it is not even clear that functionalities are +/- the same) and it would be good to maybe get some better-quality overview.
Cheers

Amy NurnbergerMemberDear SHARC-IG members,
Congratulations on your successful P15 meeting and its outcomes. With regard to the focus on training as one of the vectors, I would encourage some conversation with the Education & Training on Handling Research Data (ETHRD-IG) (co-chairs in bcc), as there are a number of cross-over areas where we share interest.
Looking forward to talking about how we can support each other’s efforts!

Today we will be picking up the discussion on our past priorities and what
progress has been made on them, any needs for re-prioritization, and what
form our advisement to Council will take. One model for this may be the
report from the strategy subcommittee on RDA as a standardisation body:

also due to Timea for her suggestions, which are noted above.
