    Hi Aaron,
nice to see ideas pop up! For sure a WG could be possible if you gather
sufficient aficionados. I would encourage you to collect a team, define outputs
and how to get there, and then submit it to RDA for approval. I would support it.
    cheers,
    Peter

    Dear Shelley & Lesley,
thank you for explaining opportunities. This should be a great opportunity for
Seraphim Alvanides (on cc) being a junior researcher (or was, some time back –
apologies if I am wrong today) while I recently was just acting as senior
backup. I am available to continue as such a “backend”, therefore I suggest let
us await the resonance of the GeoSpatial IG chairs team to see whether what you
    suggest materializes.
    best regards,
    Peter
PS: of course everybody from the IG membership body is cordially invited as well
    to step up.

    an active membership body.
    best,

PS: Additionally, in my case no funding agency currently supports work of ours
    in RDA.

    Dear secretariat,
following several years with all sorts of attempts to activating the member body
we had to accept that active member body participation is not achievable in this
setup. Hence, I suggest to retire. However, this is only my personal view, and
the co-chairs may wish to continue with the group and activate it.
    my 2 cents,
    Peter

    Dear Luca,
thanks for the information.Unfortunately I cannot attend the workshop, as
communicated already earlier, but, can you please add me to the resp. mailing

    Dear Christian,
thank you for sharing this information. Out of curiosity, are there details
available on the “ArrayDB EUDAT WG” mentioned, maybe some website? Who are the
members, is it open to join?
    thanks & best seasonal wishes,
    Peter

    Hi all,
given the unexpectedly many requests for our EarthServer datacube paper let me
try posting it here. Additionally, I am adding a (not yet published) follow-up
paper on datacube progress in EarthServer-2. Sorry for spamming those not
    interested!
    cheers,
    Peter

    HI all,
just learnt that unfortunately access is not (yet?) as free as I anticipated.
Should you want a copy of our paper please contact me and I will gladly send you
    one immediately.

    Suchith-
I will join in either by webex or by travel, do you think we can add a slot
about the new RDA Array Database WG and its specific activities on Earth science
data? We will address satellite, climate, seismic data at least.
    thanks,
    Peter
