Request to comment: RDA Code of Conduct

Dear members of RDA governance bodies, as well as members of the Gender
Balance Taskforce,
We would like to draw your attention to a Request to Comment on a Draft RDA
Code of Conduct
.
This is a document that Amy Nurnberger and I have been developing since
before the last Plenary.
An earlier version was presented to Council last month. They agreed in
principle and asked that it be updated and made available for community
comment.
The intention is that it will be reviewed after the comment period closes
(January 15) and then possibly revised and made available for a second
comment round.
The plan is to have this in place ahead of the Berlin plenary. And to
anticipate the question we keep getting asked, this is not in response to
incidents that have already occurred (as far as we are aware); it is in
anticipation of incidents that we hope never occur.
The rest of RDA will be asked to comment next week via the newsletter, but
we wanted to specifically solicit your input.
So, please have a look, and let us know what you think in the comments.
Thank you!
