Dear Colleagues, this might be too late for some of you, but if you are staying in Gaborone after IDW 2018, then please come and join us. If you have any questions, please contact me.
On Friday, 9 November, the World Data System will organize its first international Data Repositories Day at the University of Botswana, after the close of IDW 2018. This event is free and is open to everyone with an interest, but spaces are limited so make sure to pre-register now to reserve your space!
During the day you will hear what WDS has to offer repositories:How WDS can help you improve the practices and policies of your organization; for example, through the CoreTrustSeal certification scheme.
How WDS can raise the local and international recognition of your organization.
How WDS can help you to demonstrate to your community your commitment to Open Science. The international Data Repositories Day offers you an excellent opportunity to get to know the WDS and its Members. In particular, WDS Member Organizations will be present to talk about their work, and of course there will be ample time to liaise and network among your peers, as well as get expert advice from the WDS/CoreTrustSeal help desk.
Use the link below to access the pre-registration form. Those from outside of the WDS family will be very much welcomed, with Representatives of WDS Member Organizations expected to participate.Data Repositories Day 2018
