Subject: Update and Request for Comments on DSA-WDS Draft Common
Requirements for Repository Certification

Dear RDA Certification Interest Group and DSA-WDS Partnership Working Group
members,
The DSA-WDS Partnership Working Group on Certification held a meeting
on Wednesday, September 24, 2014, as part of the RDA 4th Plenary in
Amsterdam. The group reviewed a set of slides
that documented the progress of the group so far and prompted discussion of
the summary mapping between the Data Seal of Approval and the World Data
System certification criteria along with a set of draft common requirements
intended to harmonize the two standards. We received some good suggestions
during the meeting for improving the common requirements.
At this point we are eager to share the draft mapping and common
requirements widely for more feedback. Please
review the document and feel free to add comments to it; alternatively, you
can send your comments to the group. We really need your views on what
basic repository certification should cover before moving ahead, so please
comment by Monday, October 27. You may also be interested in the full
spreadsheet that the WG used to develop the
summary mapping.
