Dear RDA-US Leadership, 
It was great to see many of you at P13.  RDA is starting to prepare for the fall meeting and the P14 registration and session proposal submissions were recently released. As we head towards the Helsinki Plenary, we wanted to send an update regarding travel support.
 
We are grateful that the NSF RDA funding has been able to support RDA/US leadership to attend international Plenaries for the last 5 years.  As we announced during the last RDA-US Leadership meeting, this award is winding down and we no longer have travel support for U.S. Chairs.  We hope that some of you will be able to attend through other funding nonetheless as U.S. presence at RDA Plenaries is important.
 
We do have proposals out that, if funded, include chairs’ travel support for future plenaries.  However, it isn’t clear if and when that support will come in. We are actively working on additional funding to support plenary travel and your other RDA activities, and to bring a Plenary back to North America.  Along these lines, we continue to welcome any ideas or partnership opportunities you may have to support the RDA-US community going forward.  We will keep you updated on our fundraising progress as we move forward. Thanks again for all you do for RDA.
