Hi, I leave these with the EPI group for consideration. Deadline 4pm UTC today thanks.
From Claire Austin
B. Epidemiology, and its supporting output.
1. Provide comparative information about population data sources to help guide researchers in which ones to select (Table 2, p 38).
2. Preparation, Detection, and Response: Add the notion of resilience; how to build resilience into the system. When the degree of complexity and interdependencies increase in human made systems, there is always the risk of collapse if not enough balance is built into the system (both the IT infrastructure, data governance, and the “people” part). This feeds into Integrity.
3. More information needed about Survey Initiatives.
4. More information needed about privacy in epidemiology.
OMICS and EPI
From Carme Plasencia
One of the major issues found for those working on developing novel therapeutic or diagnostic strategies is not only linked to Omic data, but also to modelling the disease, including appropiate models for infection for screening and evaluation of the relevant information acheived from OMICs.
