Using logical constraints to validate COVID-19 information in knowledge graphs

    Dear all,
    As you already know, knowledge graphs are currently important to support the work of computer systems. As they provide a fully structured and machine-readable information about topics, they can be references for computer-supported reasoning. In the context of the international COVID-19 pandemic, information about the disease and the disease outbreak should be verified and validated on a daily basis in knowledge graphs due to the growing nature of COVID-19-related multidisciplinary knowledge. We are quite honoured to introduce you our approach of using logical constraints implemented in SPARQL to validate COVID-19 information in Wikidata, an open and collaborative large-scale knowledge graph. Our method is available at https://zenodo.org/record/4008359 and uses precise rules for the validation of relational (semantic) and statistical (epidemiological) information in knowledge graphs.
