Equitably Harnessing the Power of Health Data: Time for Action and Collaboration
Consortium of Universities for Global Health (CUGH) 2021 Virtual Session
    1 March 2021
    15:00 – 18:00 UTC
The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the critical importance of generating rigorous evidence for decision- making. To bring equity, the global health research community needs to find ways to unite and generate actionable insights from data.
This interactive session will explore how collaborations and strategic partnerships can harness the power of data to tackle the most devastating health issues. We will draw on the experience of The Global Health Network and the International COVID-19 Data Alliance (ICODA), convened by Health Data Research UK, and several speakers from around the world. Our goal for this event is to show how we can work together to advance collaborative research through a shared approach of working with communities, healthcare providers, research teams, health organisations, patients and the publics to ensure that everyone benefits from health research. Join us to share your views and hear from others in this field.
