    Dear all,
The following is for the attention of the named Contributors to the RDA COVID-19 Recommendations & Guidelines whose names appear at the end of that report. Now that the report is about to be released, it is apparent that a number of papers can be written and submitted to peer-reviewed journals. There are two paper topics that currently stand out:
a summary paper of the findings of the report, to be submitted to a journal with a wide readership,
a paper from a Social Science perspective that documents the process of creating the Recommendations and Guidelines, i.e. how 163 people came together and created in roughly ten weeks a detailed 120 page report and supporting output., the open consultation process, and related outputs.
For each of these papers the following procedure will be applied. Active contributors to the report can sign up to be on the writing team of individual papers. The expectation is that a person who signs up to this will commit a significant amount of time to writing and editing that paper (a number of hours per week). The writing team will be the authors of the paper. In each paper, the Contributors to the Guidelines and Recommendations and the RDA context of the work will be acknowledged.
A spreadsheet for individuals wishing to sign up for the writing teams for the suggested paper 1 and 2 can be found here.
The deadline to sign up for these teams is 09:00 AM UTC on Monday July 6th.
    Best wishes
    The paper facilitation team.
