    Dear all,
I joined the group after the plenary in Salzburg as I think the objectives are highly relevant in our world. I did not see any information exchange in the “post” archive and was wondering how I could help.
I was browsing for other purposes when I got to https://www.konsortswd.de/aktuelles/pressemitteilungen/vernetzte-forschu…, it is in German, but seem quite relevant to this group purpose. The RatSWD is also affiliated to the RDA and it may be interesting to gather their experience for the purpose of this group (?).
I would be especially interested in the role of open hardware and local/DIY production in time of crisis. Corona showed both the potential (thousands of face masks produced) and limitations (no usable ventilator created) of the open hardware concept and its communities.
    Best,
    Dr. Julien Colomb
