    Dear all,
we have good news on our overall WG outcomes – they are in a mature
enough stage now – also thanks to Tom Zastrow from RZG – so that we
would like to get your valuable feedback. Some of you have already asked
for more details, and we hope the information given here comes at the
    right time.
The client demonstrator GUI is accessible here, courteously hosted by
Tom/RZG – also note the walk-through on the right-hand side for simple
    usage examples:
    http://smw-rda.esc.rzg.mpg.de/PitApiGui/
We have also registered a number of exemplary types in the Type Registry
to use with the client GUI. Some of them are listed on the website, for
more details see the attached document.
The technical documents including the RESTful service interface
    descriptions are here:
    http://smw-rda.esc.rzg.mpg.de/apidocs
Finally, the source code of the servlet implementation is available here:
    git://redmine.dkrz.de/rdapit.git
Any feedback is welcome at this point, whether technical, conceptual, on
the type examples etc. – we still have roughly a month left for changes
and improvements. If you have detail questions, just send them to me and
Tom or, even better, share via the list.
We will also give an in-depth introduction to the API, demonstrator and
client during our session at the 4th RDA Plenary in Amsterdam. The
session schedule is about to be finalized very soon. Additionally, we
are preparing a final report document that concludes all WG work and
reflects the discussions over the last 18 months; this is still work in
progress, but will be ready latest at the plenary.
    Best, Tobias
