    Dear Researchers,
The topic of research data management (RDM) is present in science and industry. In Germany, this topic is represented by the NFDI (National Research Data Infrastructure) initiative, and it’s 19 consortia, each covering a specific field in science. Engineering is the focus of the NFDI4Ing consortium (NFDI for Engineering).
For Wednesday and Thursday, October 26 and 27, 2022, we cordially invite you to our annual NFDI4Ing conference. Whether researchers, teachers or industry representatives – all those interested in (research) data management are welcome. Through presentations of research results, informative workshops and tutorials, as well as case studies, we would like to discuss how data management can be implemented in engineering theory and practice.
The conference will take place online and is free of charge for all participants. Detailed information about the event can be found at the link below:
    https://nfdi4ing.de/conference

The aim of the conference is to advance and unify international (research) data management and to foster exchange. We will discuss open issues and future challenges on topics such as terminologies, metadata, ontologies, repositories and many more. Likewise, opportunities for networking and exchange with the research community will be provided.
Everyone is invited to contribute. Accepted contributions will additionally be eligible to hand in a full paper, that is planned to be published in a special issue of ing.grid, the first international journal on research data management in engineering sciences. In addition, we will grant a best contribution award as well as an award for the best RDM-tool developed by NFDI4Ing-external contributors.
Therefore, it is our pleasure to invite you to contribute your perspective on RDM in engineering to the conference. If interested, an abstract (500 – 1000 words) for a presentation, tutorial, demonstration, workshop or other contribution can be submitted via the conference website until 27th of August 2022:
    https://nfdi4ing.de/conference_abstract_submission/
This is the last Call for you to hand in your contributions!
For more information about the NFDI, NFDI4Ing and the other consortia, please see the following links:

We would be more than glad, if you take advantage of this offer.
We look forward to seeing you again at our virtual conference – exciting presentations await us!
    Kind regards,
Tobias Hamann in the name of The NFDI4Ing Conference Organising Committee
