    About the workshop
The GORC International Model WG works under the umbrella of the Global Open Research Commons (GORC) IG. Both entities are working towards a roadmap for the integration of research services in pursuit of cross-country and cross-discipline global open research commons. The WG’s goal is to evaluate and recommend a model for attributes for global research commons that allows researchers and developers to coordinate services and create roadmaps for international interoperability. In pursuit of this goal the WG has instituted a speaker series where representatives of Commons from around the world share the current state and vision of their initiatives with the WG.
A running list of observed attributes is in development and pulls on descriptions provided by the GORC IG Essential elements, related RDA WG and IG outputs, and from observations of the speaker series commons themselves. A writing schedule and task groups have been established to assess the running list of attributes and refine them into a recommendation model. The main goal for this workshop will be to synthesise methodologies and outputs from the task groups in addition to addressing issues raised in the open-floor discussion during P20.
