    Dear ETHRD-IG members,
Greetings from merry New York City – I hope this find you healthy and happy.
First, please welcome our new co-chair, Mijke Jetten. In her own words:
Hi, I’m Mijke Jetten, and I’ve been a member of the RDA community for many years; however, some years more active than others. I have a background as a religious scholar (PhD in 2018), and with that background, speaking the language of the researcher, I co-initiated RDM support at my university (Radboud University, the Netherlands). I’ve been involved in many national and international initiatives, such as the Dutch National Coordination Point RDM (LCRDM), LIBER (I’m co-chair of the RDM working group), and more recently, projects on data curation practices (LCRDM), 23 Library things on RDM (RDA), and various data stewardship projects (I’m currently establishing an RDA IG on this topic, together with Marta Teperek).
I’m really looking forward to becoming a co-chair for the ETHRD IG, and using my abilities to help the community to strengthen the role of the RDA community in education and training in research data management. We have a wonderful group of people and I love contributing myself (and stimulating the group to contribute) to future outputs and deliverables.
    You may be thinking:

Wait, didn’t we just get a new co-chair?

    Yes, we did – Kati!

So that makes how many co-chairs? 5?

Yes! We have five co-chairs. We were planning to rotate some of the more experienced co-chairs off as we refreshed the leadership of this group. However, given the inherent difficulties of this particular period, we are keeping the experience with us just a bit longer to ease those transitions.

Second, our P15 session virtual sessions will be at 1400 & 2300 UTC on 8Apr (please adjust for the unique requirements of your timezone). The session theme is “Real-world training for real-world impact”. The details & registration info can be found at https://www.rd-alliance.org/real-world-data-training-real-world-data-impact. We look forward to seeing you there!
    Wishing you well.
    Best,
    Amy
