For those who were interested in DFT WG things, the follow on DFT Interest Group will have a Virtual Meeting Mon, Jan 25, 2016 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (16.00 CET)  Details are below:

It has been noted in groups such as Data Fabric that there is little time at Plenaries to handle  vocabulary issues.  Certainly this was true of P6. But on the other hand it is dangerous to ignore them.
As a compromise and preparation for P7 Data Foundations & Terminology (DFT) IG has scheduled a 90 telecom slot for Monday, January 25th starting at 10 am Easter Time US to discuss the general situation and some particular issues as well as to update people on recent DFT acitivities and plans for P7.

An initial agenda is as follows:
    1. Very brief update by Gary Berg-Cross on DFT IG actitivies – new terms, use cases for vocabulary services and P7 plans
    2. Overview of vocabulary issues from Data Fabric standpoint by Peter Wittenburg.
    3.  discussion of how to handle vocabulary issues going forward.
    4. Vocabulary issues and plans from other RDA groups
Some terms about repository registeries, for example, have been entered into the RDA DFTterm tool based on recent DF discussions and posts as well as RDA-WDS Data-Pub Workflows..
This meeting will be an opportunity to discuss some of the troublesome DF terms (and maybe other ones) in context to see if we can develop some working draft definitions that can be firmed up over time.
Peter Wittenburg will provide some overview of these issues as part of the meeting
If interested people can respond here with candidate terms or issues and perhaps working definitions as well as bring them up at the meeting as noted in the agenda.

Here is information about how to join the meeting from your computer, tablet or smartphone.
