    Greetings All,

We hope this email finds you well.

We would like to bring your attention to a couple of things.

First, The session proposal for the RDA 21st Plenary 21 is due on Friday, 9 June (2023) before 23:59pm UTC. ( P21 is part of International Data Week 2023: A Festival of Data, taking place on 23–26 October 2023, in Salzburg, Austria; read more at https://www.rd-alliance.org/plenaries/international-data-week-2023-salzburg)

We have drafted this group session proposal. As planned, the proposal and agenda is about to present a final set of ten things for repositories to improve data discovery, following great discussions from the group’s session at P20 and monthly calls.  The working document of the ten things is available here.

If you would like to present your work related to any of the ten things at the proposed plenary session, or provide any feedback/comments,  please let us know (or add them directly to the session proposal document) by Thursday 8 June. (Sorry for the short notice. )

Second: A reminder that we have an open call for new co-chairs, following the recommendation by RDA to ensure a rotation of Group chairs. Our plan is to step down from co-chairs by the end of this year. We have had an extremely productive and positive experience, and we will continue being active members of this group, but we also feel that we need to provide the space for other members of our community, and to adhere to the recommendation from RDA in ensuring that IGs have new chairs every few years.
Please read this document about Roles and Responsibilities of RDA Group Chairs, also please feel free to reach us for indicating your interest, or for any further information and clarification.
    Kind regards,
    Fotis, Kathleen and Ming
