Dear Secretariat and Communications
There will be a change in one of the TAB members from Sept 2021. Joao is
stepping down and his replacement is Rossella Aversa.
In my email to Rossella (cc to TAB co-chairs, Bridget and Stefanie) on 3
August, I noted the following actions:
1. Isabelle and Rob: could you please inform the TAB members of this
change before 30 August?
2. Stefanie, can you please add Rossella to the TAB group, etc. as well
as to the RDA TAB
page
on the web site – by 30 August
3. Hilary, will create an announcement for the RDA community and web
site to be published on 30 August, thanking Joao and welcoming Rossella
4. Rob, could you arrange, at yours and Rosella’s convenience, in
September an “induction” call?
5. Stefanie, can you kindly ensure that Rossella receives the calendar
invites and perhaps you could arrange a short call (again in September)
with her to explain some of the web site aspects, please?
In reference to my action (point 3), the proposed text with the links is
the following. Please note I also added short text and a link to the TAB
2021 nominations to the TAB landing page.
Do let me know if anything is unclear
Kind regards
Hilary
*Dear RDA Community Members,*
*September 2021, sees a change in membership of the RDA Technical Advisory
Board (TAB). João Rocha da Silva will be replaced by Rossella Aversa.*
*As a result of a change of professional position and direction, it has
become difficult for João Rocha da Silva [*
https://rd-alliance.org/users/jrocha%5D *to continue to make the commitment
that he would like in terms of time and so he is stepping down from the
TAB.*
*On behalf of RDA, I would like to thank João Rocha da Silva for his
contribution to the community and the Technical Advisory Board and wish him
every success in the future.*
*Rossella Aversa [link https://www.rd-alliance.org/users/rossella-aversa
], a TAB candidate in
2020 elections, has kindly accepted to replace João from September 2021.
Rossella works in the Data Exploitation Methods group at the Karlsruhe
Institute of Technology – Steinbuch Centre for Computing (KIT – SCC) in
Karlsruhe (Germany). I thank Rossella for accepting this position and look
forward to collaborating with her in this new role.*
*TAB is a very important, volunteer governance body of the Research Data
Alliance providing technical expertise and advice to the Council, and
assisting in development, review and promotion of RDA Working & Interest
Groups as well as Communities of Practice. I am grateful to all the TAB
members for their dedication and contribution. **For more information on
TAB, its members, roles and responsibilities see *
