    Dear comms team
How are you? I hope you are all good 🙂
I’ve sent the event below for promotion on RDA channels, can you help
with that? The ARCHIVER project and its adopters programme are of
interest for many of the RDA members and for some of the groups in
    particular.
    Many thanks!
    Sara

    Date Mon, 07/12/2020
    Location Online
    Event description
Following the closure of the ARCHIVER Tender, on the 8th of June 2020
five bids had been selected as a result of the ARCHIVER Pre-Commercial
Procurement Request for Tenders for the provision of R&D for hybrid
end-to-end archival and preservation services meeting the innovation
challenges of the European Research communities, in the context of the
European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). During the following months, these
five consortia have been working to provide a written detailed report
including the architecture and technical design of the components of
    their solutions.
Three of them will be selected to move to the second phase, the
Prototype implementation phase, to build prototypes of their solutions
including all components, and basic functionality, interoperability, and
security tests will be performed by IT specialists from the buyers’ group.
On Monday 7 December 2020, the selected consortia for the ARCHIVER
prototype phase will be announced during a Public Award Ceremony
    starting at 14.00 CET.
Due to the current health situation, the event will take place
    exclusively online.
The Kick-off marks the beginning of the Prototype implementation Phase
and it is open to all interested stakeholders

    Relevance for RDA Community
Digital Archiving and long-term data preservation are at the core of
different RDA community discussions, with few groups dedicated to these
and similar topics (Archives and Records Professionals for Research Data
IG , Data Conservation IG, Repository Platforms for Research Data IG).
The “Research ready” commercial services for data archiving and
preservation produced by ARCHIVER will be , co-designed, co-developed
and co-tested by the research community partnering with industry
expertise and different actors in the RDA Community can be interested in
applying to become Early Adopters of the delivered solutions.
