    Hello from Vancouver
I am now focusing on provide research data management assistance to researchers in chemistry, chemical engineering, and materials engineering.
In terms of research data repositories, are Figshare and Zenodo the most commonly used?
Earlier this week, I met with a chemistry professor to discuss research data and specifically how the department can comply with Canadian research data funder requirements.
Currently their research data is accessible as Supporting information via the journal article. Another challenge is the wide variety of data produced. The Supporting information for one of his article describes PXRD, Raman, TGA, nitrogent sorption isotherms, SEM and the list goes one.
Any guidance on how you are providing research data management assistance to your researchers would be greatly appreciated.

    Dear Nicole
Thank you for letting me know about Chemotion.
A quick full-text search for Chemotion’s doi 10.14272 retrieves a number of articles including
    https://pubs.rsc.org/en/content/articlelanding/2021/DT/D1DT00832C
    https://doi.org/10.1002/chem.202003885
I’ll add Chemotion’s doi to my list of data repositories that I am tracking.
    All the best
    Kevin

    Dear Kevin,
A number of repositories for chemical and physical research data can be found on this page :
    https://www.datacc.org/en/your-needs/highlighting-your-data/where-and-ho
For each of the 30+ repositories selected, a number of relevant characteristics are indicated to help scientists make their choice.
Hope you will find this helpful.
    Regards,
    Gilles
