    Dear Chairs et al,
As mentioned in Paris, the next (4th) WG/IG Collaboration Meeting will be held on Dec 8-9 at NIST in Gaithersburg, Maryland, which was the site of the 2nd meeting. The theme of this meeting will be domain-specific use of RDA outputs, although as usual the agenda will be flexible. For those of you who are new to these meetings they were started to provide a forum for tighter interaction among the Working Groups, and now Interest Groups as well, than is possible at the wonderfully busy and crowded Plenaries. The last of these was held in Karlsruhe, attendees found it very useful, and Rainer for the EU and myself for the U.S. will continue to plan these meetings to fall in between the Plenaries.
For the Gaithersburg meeting we will follow the same schedule as last year and start early afternoon on the first day (allowing east coast U.S. participants to travel in the morning) and end the afternoon of the second day.
For loding most participants found the nearby Hilton
    Hilton Washington DC North/Gaithersburg
620 Perry Parkway, Gaithersburg, Maryland, 20877
to be convenient. It is walkable for those who like to walk, and we will figure out transport for those who find it to be too far. There are also many other hotels in the area. A longer list will accompany a general information packet that NIST will put together and send out at a later date. As previous attendees will recall, you must register with NIST in order to be allowed on the campus. More detail on that will follow soon.
Limited funding for travel expenses is available for both U.S. and European attendees. U.S. requests can be sent directly to me at
    ***@***.***
and European requests should be sent to
    ***@***.***-alliance.org
Priority will be given to presenters and to WG Chairs.
As mentioned above a formal registration process will be put in place, but in the meantime I would appreciate hearing from those who think they will be attending, to help with further planning.
    Thanks,
    Larry
