Dear Members of the RDARI IG, and attendees at our recent RDA Plenary Session on Data Retention,
A number of people who attended the session have expressed an interest in creating an RDA Working Group to produce useful data retention recommendations for the future. In order to discuss this further, I would like to organize an online meeting to get a better sense of what the focus of such a group should be, and who would like to lead on it (sadly I will not have the time to do so myself). I’ve put together a Doodle Poll to gauge the least worst time for such a meeting:

Because most of the initial interest for this group has come from Europe and Australia, it’s been hard to find good times to hold a meeting. If you cannot make any of these times due to it being the middle of the night where you are, or indeed any other reason, please let me know and we can perhaps organize a second meeting at a more amenable hour.
Please note that this is not a regular RDARI meeting, but one specifically focused on the potential new WG.
    Yours All,
    James
