Greetings everyone, please consider whether or not you would like to attend a Geospatial IG session at P23 later this year in Costa Rica. We would need to have our abstracts (or at least a session idea) pulled together and submitted no later than July 3.

Let me know if you have any thoughts or questions,

    Cheers,

    Aaron

P23 will be held at the University of San José, Costa Rica, a cultural hub, where coffee and gold shaped its history and architecture.

Data professionals, researchers, and industry leaders will attend this three-day hybrid meeting, which will be hosted by Consejo Nacional de Rectores (CONARE) in collaboration with:

    • Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR),
    • Tecnológico de Costa Rica (TEC)
    • Universidad Nacional (UNA)
    • Universidad Estatal a Distancia (UNED)
    • Universidad Técnica Nacional (UTN)

Seven breakout sessions are scheduled between 12-14 November 2024. All sessions will be broadcasted to the virtual participants with recordings available after the event.

For those new to the RDA, breakout sessions are a large part of the plenary programme and include the following:

    • Working and Interest Group sessions
    • Joint Meetings (hosted by multiple working and interest groups)
    • Birds of a Feather sessions

Full details on the call are available via the RDA P23 section on our website.

RDA groups are invited to submit their applications by 3 July 2024. A draft schedule for the breakout sessions will be available at the beginning of August to allow plenty of time to make travel arrangements.
