    Dear research software community,
    Please mark you calendar for the next RDA Plenary (P20) held between the
    21st and 23rd of March 2023 in Gothenburg, Sweden. There will be different
    group sessions at this plenary and we are expecting the programme to be
    released soon.
    Also, we are organizing a Research Software as a co-located event on Friday
    the 24th at 9.00 UTC.

    The description of the workshop:
    *As part of the Europeans projects FAIR-IMPACT and FAIRCORE4OSC we will
    conduct a workshop with the RDA community to review the current landscape
    of guidelines and metrics for Research Software.We will collect existing
    guidelines for research software and identify the gaps with the SIRS report
    recommendations (SIRS report is the Scholarly infrastructures for research
    software: report from the EOSC Executive Board Working Group (WG)
    Architecture Task Force (TF)- https://doi.org/10.2777/28598
    .)We will review the CodeMeta initiative
    vocabulary and its crosswalk table to extend interoperability
    (https://codemeta.github.io/ ) .The work
    conducted during this workshop will contribute to the FAIR-IMPACT
    guidelines to archive, reference, describe and cite Research Software. It
    will also contribute to the FAIR-IMPACT metrics for FAIR Research
    Software.We will also discuss curation mechanisms for Research Software to
    improve the metadata quality.This workshop will be conducted as an open
    discussion following 2 short presentations by task leads from the
    FAIR-IMPACT projects and Work Package 6 Research Software lead from the
    FAIRCORE4EOSC project.*
