    Meeting objectives
This work group addresses a common data challenge across the public health domain. Work extends beyond the current COVID-19 pandemic to provide actionable recommendations and guidelines for a standard method for reporting infectious disease data before and during epidemics or pandemics. Uniform definitions for data elements are developed based on existing standards to improve data comparability and interoperability.  All of the WG development and deliverables are founded in the principles of Open Science and FAIRER (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable, Ethical, and Reproducible) data principles.
This session will focus on development of a common profile based on existing standards and the addition of extensions to fill gaps.
