Dear member of the Data Rescue Interest Group,
RDA is writing to you to let you know that this group has changed status – it is now a historical group. See the group page at https://rd-alliance.org/groups/data-rescue.html for details.
We have become aware that some of you may have joined this group after it changed status. This was a process error on our part that we are addressing.
It was thought that a new Data Conservation IG would form to carry on from the work of the Data Rescue IG. However, it now seems that this will not happen for the foreseeable future, and so there is no current group looking at data rescue/data conservation activities.
If you would like to, you are welcome to start a new Interest Group (https://rd-alliance.org/groups/creating-and-managing-rda-groups/creating…) or Working Group (https://rd-alliance.org/groups/creating-and-managing-rda-groups/creating…) in this area. If you have any questions about how to do this, please contact the RDA Secretariat (enquiries@rd-alliance.org) .
