Hi all –
Fran had asked me to put together a bit more info on the foundations; here it is.
First, here is the full report I referenced a bit ago…..turns out that the last time I sent this, it went through as just one page.
Second, I went through the list and put in brief information, including their web site (if they have one – not all do), and their main funding areas. I hesitate to go much farther than that, because I don’t know the intricate details of what you want funded. Having said that, if you have questions about going to particular groups, I can help with that.
Third, I left out a few of the sites because they either don’t operate anymore, their sites are down, or for some other reason, they aren’t awarding.
Fourth, I added a couple of sites that could fund more project-oriented efforts. Those are the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation.
Last, keep in mind that some of these are local only, regional only, or faith-based and focused on one faith. You may or may not be able to apply to these.

I’ll be putting this into a wiki page in our organic page on the RDA site, and any of you can update the list with additional funders as you find them.
