The RDA’s 23rd Plenary will be held in San José, Costa Rica, 12-14 November 2024. The 23rd Plenary is a hybrid meeting for both in-person and virtual attendance.
RDA groups are invited to submit a session proposal indicating an interest in organising a meeting for the RDA’s 23rd Plenary. The RDA Plenary meetings are working group sessions. Please take into account the need for a well-thought-out agenda, a diverse lineup of speakers, and time for discussion and networking when applying.
Session submission overview
- All programme sessions will be broadcasted live from the venue to the online audience.

Submission process
RDA working and interest groups, joint session, and birds of a feather applications should submit one of the forms below. The forms are currently under development, therefore we ask you to familiarise yourself with the submission process:
- Forms can be submitted by group chair(s) only.
- A session submission webpage will be automatically generated upon submission completion. The RDA Secretariat will manually link your session submission webpage to your group’s plenary tab. Once linked, it will be visible to all group members.
- A submission is editable only by the person who submitted it. To edit, please go to Member portal > Personal Information > Session Entries > Open your session.
- A Comments function is a new feature that will allow group members (being logged in) to comment on the submission.
- Approved sessions will be allocated to breakout times based on your indicated preferences.
- At least one group chair must physically attend P23. We cannot accept sessions chaired fully online.
A PDF of the submission process is available for download.
