Dear all,
first and foremost, I hope that all of you and your close ones are healthy
and doing well in these stressful times.
This is an announcement of the virtual ECEIG session (originally planned
for P15) with the title “*Early Career and Engagement: Building a Flexible
and Inclusive-to-all Data Mentoring Programme*”.
Given the global aspect of RDA, and in order to accommodate as many
timezones as possible, we will be holding the session on April 2nd 2020
during two identical sessions:
1. RDA P15 *ECEIG session #1* @ *07:00 UTC* (see *here* for your local
time
)
– please register here
.
2. RDA P15 *ECEIG session #2* @ *17:00 UTC* (see *here* for your local
time
)
– please register here
.
The session is already listed on the main RDA Virtual Plenary Programme
, together with
the respective registration links – please do register to whichever session
you might be planning to attend, so we might have an idea on the level of
participation to each session.
Connection details and agenda will be common for both sessions and are
available here
.
The main objectives will be:
– Spread awareness about the *ECEIG Mentoring Programme*, which is a
core activity of the group
– Enhance the group of *mentors and mentees*
– Start discussions and get feedback about the* ECEIG Task Forces*, all
established to complement the Mentoring Programme, including encouraging
everyone to actively get involved with the TFs’ activities
– Facilitate networking and research promotion of individuals in a
flash-talk segment
– Understand participants’ needs and consult about potential training
and professional development activities
Feel free to *forward this invitation* to any people/groups you might think
are relevant/interested to this discussion.
Kind regards and stay safe!
