    Dear all,
As some of you may be aware, we are attempting to create an Interest Group
for Early Career researchers aptly named “Early Career and Engagement
Interest Group”. As such, and thanks to the efforts of Inna Kouper and
others within the early career group, we have an Early Career Networking
    meeting
ry-9-early-career-networking-meeting> on the official schedule of the
    upcoming 9
th RDA Plenary in Barcelona, on Thursday April 6th, 14:00 – 15:30 local time
    in Room MR4.
The particular focus of the meeting is to coordinate efforts to create a
long-term environment and paths of engagement for all RDA members who are at
the earlier stages of their careers. The agenda of the meeting is below:
    – Update on the IG charter and feedback from community (see charter
    draft here
    KP9M/edit> )
    – Strategies to keep fellows together during plenaries
    – Previous fellows experiences
    – Discussion on next steps and strategies
The meeting is open to all, and we would love to have as much input as
possible. We will particularly welcome feedback from people that are mostly
relevant to this group, i.e. people that are either at the earlier stages of
their careers or are mid-career researchers that are shifting to a
    different/new discipline.
Hope to see you all in Barcelona!
    Regards,
    Fotis and Devan
