Dear Chemistry Data Interest Group Member,
Will you be attending the April 2017 RDA Plenary in Barcelona? If so:
    * Are there any chemistry-related data topics you would like to discuss?
    * Is there anything relevant to the chemistry data community you would like to share?
During 2017 there will be a number of chemistry-specific data-related meetings and activities taking place, variously supported by IUPAC, ACS, RSC, InChI Trust and Beilstein-Institut. Discussions will in fact be occurring at an ACS meeting in San Francisco whilst the RDA is convening in Barcelona. By the time of the September RDA plenary we expect to have a lot to report back on. The April RDA plenary is potentially an opportunity for those of you who may not otherwise come into contact with the chemistry community during the year to feed into activities and discussions that will be taking place elsewhere.
If you would be interested in contributing to a RDA CRDIG Breakout session in Barcelona in any way, please let us know as soon as you can and in any case no later than 7 Jan 2017. The level of interest indicated by you will determine whether we apply for a breakout session and if we do, what topics this will cover.
Please also let us know if you are aware of other sessions being organised where specific input from the chemistry data community might be of particular value and if there is anything this interest group can do to support those.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Ian (on behalf of CRDIG co-chairs)
