I am pleased to announce the release of a SKOS Testing Tool at http://labs.sparna.fr/skos-testing-tool. This SKOS testing tool is a simple
web frontend for the qSKOS library, to assess the quality of SKOS or
SKOS-XL vocabularies. Its main features are :
- No registration required, free for all, open-source
- Upload a SKOS file to test or give the URL to an online file (e.g. )
- Ability to select the set of rules to be verified
Dear RDA VSIG -
It has been pleasing to see some activity on the list in response to my mail last week about reviving the IG. In particular, we have had a number of volunteers for coordination roles. In order to move forward, the continuing co-chairs would like to propose the following arrangements:

Hi Simon and all,
I'd like to register my interest in this revival. Geoscience Australia has a growing dependence on SKOS vocabularies which several systems - portals and catalogues for now, others later - access via services. The SKOS is standardised enough but not the services. We would love to see something like a SKOS or Vocab Linked Data API specification, perhaps alongside or within other APIs.

Dear RDA VSIGers
It has been 8 months since the last formal activity of the group, so this is an update about why and the potential for some revived activity.
Two of our founding co-chairs have moved on to new positions which has made their continuing leadership roles difficult to fulfil.
The Vocabulary and Semantic Services Interest Group (VSSIG) seeks to develop community-based approaches and recommendations to make knowledge organization systems (i.e. controlled vocabularies, ontologies, and their associated services) findable, accessible, interoperable, and re-usable (FAIR data principles).
