RDA is an international volunteer member-based organisation and as such encourages the initiative and support of its members across the globe to animate their community on a national level. RDA Europe national node are part of the RDA Europe support programme whose aim is to interact with researchers and innovators in the local language, offering them a platform for exchange of information pertinent to the RDA and their activities and in strict compliance with RDA's guiding principles of Openness, Transparency, Consensus-based, Community driven, Harmonisation and Non-profit. The national pages should not be interpreted as an official representation of the Research Data Alliance in any country or any organisation unless this is specifically stated.

If there is an RDA National Group set up in your country, once your account is active you will be subscribed to receive information and news from that group. If you wish to unsubscribe, you can easily do that by editing the settings in your profile.

Kurs i forskningsdatahåndtering


UiO skal holde et kurs i forskningsdatahåndtering. Hovedsaklig retter kurset seg mot forskere, men det er også for andre interessert. Kurset er åpent for alle institusjoner.

Kurset skal se på god strukturering og dokumentasjon av forskningsdata fra begynnelse til slutt i forsknings-prosjekt.                                                                                                          Noe som er viktig både for deg selv og for forskningsgrupper som er sammen om å innhente og analysere data.

RDA i Noreg og UiT Noregs arktiske universitet skal arrangera eit kurs for kursleiarar i FAIR forskingsdatakuratering.

Kurset skal gje deltakarane opplæring i fire sentrale område innanfor handtering og kuratering av forskingsdata: metadata, filformat, opphavsrett og eigarskap og lisensar.

Norge har blitt node i RDA

På vegne av et konsortium bestående av NTNU, UiB, UiO, UiT, Unit og Uninett/Sigma 2 sendte NSD i slutten av april en søknad til RDA Europe om såkornmidler til etablering av en norsk RDA-node. I starten av juni kom gladmeldingen om at den norske søknaden ble innvilget.


Etableringen av en nasjonal node gir en arena der sentrale aktører nasjonalt kan styrke samarbeidet når det gjelder deling av forskningsdata og åpen forskning, samtidig som vi holder takt med utviklingen internasjonalt.

FAIR data stewardship: Supporting FAIR data interoperability


NeIC is organising the ‘FAIR data stewardship: Supporting FAIR data interoperability’ workshop in Oslo on the 25- 28th March. This 4-day course is a fully fledged training event which will provide the much needed foundational skills for competent data stewards and data managers in the Nordic countries with knowledge of the FAIR principles and their application.

NeIC2019 - Nordic Infrastructure for Open Science


The NeIC conferences are organised biannually bringing together around 230 experts, researchers, policy makers, funders and national eIntrastructure providers from the Nordics and beyond. The aim is to create an opportunity for people in the eInfrastructure field to connect and collaborate with colleagues across the Nordics and to enable them to share knowledge and expertise. The title for this year’s event is ‘Nordic Infrastructure for Open Science’. We will take a closer look at how we can collaborate across borders to strengthen the field of Open Science.
