Group details

Node Coordinators:

This is a working area dedicated to the RDA activities, news and events in Germany and German speaking regions.

This working area aims at connecting researchers working with research data on a more local level and facilitates interconnecting local activities with broader RDA activities through e.g. RDA Working and Interest Groups.

In Germany, this activity is supported by MPCDF (Max Planck Computing and Data Facility) (contact persons: Kathrin Beck and Peter Wittenburg), which is coordinator of the RDA Europe project, as well as by the Helmholtz Open Science (OS) Coordination Office.

In addition to the content of the global RDA website, the German speaking Forschungsdaten wiki is collecting information on research data, as well as on the activities of RDA Germany. It is accompanied by the DFN Forschungsdaten mailing list; both are (co-)administrated by Helmholtz OS.

In September 2017 the RDA Deutschland e.V. was formally established. The first RDA Germany Foundation Meeting with the election of the board takes place on 19 March 2018 in Berlin, during the RDA Plenary. For more information on the event, see the homepage of RDA DE e.V. and the event page of the Foundation Meeting

RDA is continuously looking for researchers, research communities and private sector actors, who are interested in testing and adopting RDA outputs and recommendations, and are happy to give advice in different stages of this process.

Feel free to register to this group by clicking on the Join link on the right. You will be automatically subscribed to the group newsletter. And please don't hesitate to share your own events and news items via the mailing list or group calendar.
