Please note that the Metadata Standards Directory  WG has now finished its term under RDA and has delivered its outputs. A follow-on WG has been created: Metadata Standards Directory WG.


The RDA Metadata Standards Directory Working Group is supported by individuals and organizations involved in the development, implementation, and use of metadata for scientific data. The overriding goal is to develop a collaborative, open directory of metadata standards applicable to scientific data can help address infrastructure challenges...Metadata Standards Working Group Case Statement.

Dear members of the Metadata Standards Directory Working Group,
I am writing to invite you to the *hands-on webinar on "Aggregating and
mapping Metadata",* scheduled on*Monday 31st October at 15:00 CET /
13:00 UTC.* The webinar will be held by Dimitris Gavrilis, Athena RC.
The purpose of this webinar is to familiarise participants with key
aspects of data aggregation, relevant for all projects that include some

Transition to the Metadata Standards Catalog WG

Dear WG members,
We are happy to confirm that the RDA Council has formally Recognized and Endorsed the Metadata Standards Catalog Working Group. Since the Catalog group is a follow-on to this Directory group, our activity and attention will now be directed entirely to the new group.
As I result of this, I would urge you to do two things:
