The second annual Improving Global Agricultural Data (IGAD) Community of Practice meeting is set to kick off tomorrow, 22 March at 14:00 to 15:30 UTC with the session on ‘Sharing experiences and creating digital dialogues in Latin America and the Caribbean,’ which will be delivered in Spanish. The annual meeting continues this week on Thursday, 24 March at 14:00 to 15:00 UTC with the session on ‘Creating an RDA community in Latin America and the Caribbean,’ which will also be delivered in Spanish. 
 
This week is only the beginning of the 2022 virtual meeting, with eight different sessions set to take place from tomorrow, 22 March through 8 April, 2022. There are  individual registration links for each virtual session. Interested participants are encouraged to register for multiple days based on interests and needs. A session dedicated to Ethical and legal issues around agricultural data organized by Valeria Pesce (Global Forum on Agricultural Research and Innovation, GFAR); 

Two sessions dedicated to Platforms for agricultural data: how to address the fragmented landscape? organized by Lars Kahnert (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit,  GIZ) and Cynthia Parr (USDA Agricultural Research Service);

A session dedicated to Governance of farm-level digital technologies and agricultural data organized by Sarah-Louise Ruder (Canada, University of British Columbia), Dr. Hannah Wittman (Canada, University of British Columbia);

A session dedicated to FAIRifying data and code for Artificial Intelligence in agricultural production organized by Erik Van Ingen (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, FAO) and Ioannis N. Athanasiadis (Wageningen University and Research);

A session dedicated to Plant-pollinator interactions data standards organized by Debora Drucker (Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation, Embrapa) and Abram Bicksler (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, FAO);

And two sessions dedicated to IGAD/RDA : Sharing Experiences and Creating Digital Dialogues in Latin America and the Caribbean (Spanish) organized by Wouter Schallier (United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean) and Imma Subirats (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, FAO)

La segunda reunión anual de la Comunidad de Práctica Mejorando los Datos Agrícolas Globales (IGAD) comenzará mañana, 22 de marzo a las 14:00 a 15:30 UTC con la sesión sobre ‘Compartir experiencias y crear diálogos digitales en América Latina y el Caribe, ‘ que será entregado en español. La reunión anual continúa esta semana el jueves 24 de marzo de 14:00 a 15:00 UTC con la sesión sobre ‘Creando una comunidad RDA en América Latina y el Caribe’, que también se impartirá en español.
 
Esta semana es el comienzo de la reunión virtual de 2022, con ocho sesiones diferentes programadas desde mañana, 22 de marzo hasta el 8 de abril de 2022. Hay enlaces de registro individuales para cada sesión virtual. Se alienta a los participantes interesados ​​a registrarse por varios días según sus intereses y necesidades.
