NEW! February 2020: In order to make it easier for you to collaborate with your teams, we have improved the user experience of your Groups’ online space. A series of icons and labels now guide your activity and help you post messages to the group members, create and organise wiki pages, send events’ announcements, publish and organise the outputs and case statements resulting from your group’s activity and browse all the members of your Group. One new area also collects the Plenary sessions your group contributed to.

We hope that you’ll find this useful! Please do not hesitate to send your comments and suggestions to the RDA Secretariat here.

RDA Domain Repositories Interest Group

The Domain Repositories Interest Group will bring together active data repositories that serve specific scientific disciplines.  Domain repositories provide archiving services tailored to the needs of scientific communities, and they mediate between domain scientists and rapid changes in information and data science.  All domain repositories have shared interests in data curation, dissemination, preservation, and institutional sustainability, and this interest group will provide a forum for sharing practical experience and developing joint projects.  The IG will also develop training and mentoring relationships for new and emerging repositories.

The Domain Repositories IG will enhance communication with other RDA IGs and WGs and represent the interests of domain repositories in those groups.  Members of this IG participate in many other RDA venues, like the Data Citation WG, Metadata IG, and RDA/WDS Certification of Digital Repositories IG.  The Domain Repository IG will provide a venue in which repositories can identify and prioritize common problems for action by working groups at RDA and other organizations.
