Elite Park Avenue Hotel Göteborg: ongoing construction & direction tradeoffs

Tip for anyone planning on staying at the Elite Park Avenue Hotel Göteborg (Kungsportsavenyen 36): if you choose a room facing Northwest (Engelbrektsgatan), you will face more street traffic noise … but if you choose a room facing Southeast, with the otherwise nice Lorensbergsparken, you will face the currently ongoing expansion of the hotel (which is indeed advertised inside the hotel elevators), involving major jackhammers (including on Sunday, I was told at the reception). See attached photo, with hotel room windows on the SE side in the background. Just a “caveat emptor” FYI from an RDA meeting participant who arrived today, no specifics to be expected experiences implied, etc.. 🙂
