Dear RDA member,

We look forward to seeing you virtually at RDA VP17 next week, on 20-23 April 2021!

The event takes place on JUNO Live, our virtual platform. By now, many of you will already be familiar with it. If you haven’t visited the event platform yet, we recommend that you do so ahead of time to ensure you can access your account.

To access JUNO Live, please go to https://rda-idcc.junolive.co/ and log in using the email address you used when registering for the Plenary. You should have received your password information via email from JUNO. At any time you can reset your password by clicking on ‘forgot password’ on the log-in page in order to re-issue your credentials.

For any questions regarding registrations please contact vp17registrationenquiries@rd-alliance.org

System requirements for JUNO Live

You can access Juno Live on PCs running Windows 7+ or Mac running macOS 10.12+ through Chrome or Safari. You can also access via Android tablets and phones using Chrome and iPhones and iPads using Safari. For the best experience, we recommend using a computer and Chrome as a browser. Visit Google Chrome page to download/update Chrome.

You should also check your connection speed prior to joining the meeting. You’ll need a minimum of 0.6 Mbps download speed, but we recommend at least 1 Mbps for streaming. For video calls, we recommend 2.5 Mbps download speed.

To test your connection, go to: https://tokbox.com/developer/tools/precall/results

  • Make sure your browser is up to date with the latest version.
  • Disable any large or privacy-related browser extensions or plug-ins.
  • Ensure that your browser is allowing use of your camera and microphone.
  • Ensure that your computer is allowing use of your camera and microphone in your device settings.
  • Clear your cache, cookies and browsing data of all time or use a private/incognito browser window if you are experiencing any issues.

Setting up your profile

The first time you log in, a link at the top of the home page will appear that asks you to complete your profile. You can continue to update your profile throughout the event by clicking on it in the top right of your screen.

Setting up your schedule

There is an “Attend” option for each live event. Clicking that will add the event to your “My Schedule” calendar on the platform. The option “Add to Calendar” allows you to add sessions to the most common calendar apps.

Meeting time zone

Time zones are adjusted for each user, so events are displayed in your local time (that is the time shown by the device you are using).

Connecting with others

To schedule a private meeting, find people through the “Attendee List” tab. Select individual users and click “Send Message” or “Schedule”. This feature is only available if they have allowed other members on the platform to contact them, an option available in the “Profile” section of the site.

RDA VP17 FAQ

The user experience with the JUNO Live platform is not the same as using Zoom or other remote meeting tools. Although support will be available throughout the week, we ask for your patience as we acclimate with the various options available and navigate through some of the platform’s features.

You will be able to find more information and guidelines about using the JUNO interface by visiting the FAQ tab, located in the navigation bar at the top of your browser page.

Contact us

You will be able to request help with any issues you may encounter by attending either the ‘Attendee Helpdesk’ or the ‘Speaker Helpdesk’ sessions available on the event pages. You can also contact a member of the organising team and Juno support by clicking on the pink chat bubble on the bottom right hand side of your interface.

Accessibility - Otter.ai

We will be using Otter.ai services to provide a live transcript during the all plenary sessions and the opening and closing talks. For more information on how to access this service, please visit the RDA VP17 accessibility page.

Thank you once again for joining us at RDA VP17.

Kind regards,

The RDA VP17 Organisers
