Mr. Vijay Kumar Mishra is currently working as a Research Scientist at Public Health Foundation of India. Mr. Mishra has done Masters in Population Studies (major subject-Statistics/Demography) with Biostatistics & Epidemiology (minor subject), Bachelor’s degree in Education (BHU, India) and Bachelor’s degree in Statistics (BHU, India). He has been a recipient of Government of India Fellowship for Master’s degree, Basia Zaba Scholarship (LSHTM) and IPSR Scholarship. He was awarded with the silver medal after completing Masters in Population Studies due to good academic records. He is an Analytical Research Specialist with 5 years of experience in research and analysis of big and complex datasets, through programming software-R and Python. He has previously worked as a Research Officer in the project “The Global Asthma Network (GAN): Study Prevalence of Asthma in India”, under the aegis of IIHMR University. Mr. Mishra has also worked as a Research & Documentation Specialist in a project “Supporting NHM in Developing Capacities of Health Care Staff on Improvement of WASH’’ funded by UNICEF. He has been a panel member in Delphi study, to inform the development of an evidence-led ‘Essential Research Skills Training Curriculum’ (Feb-Aug 2020) at Global Health Network (GHN). Mr. Mishra also served as reviewers on statistical expertise in the Journals-Child Abuse & Neglect (Publisher-Elsevier), Nutrition and Food Science (Publisher-Emerald). He has publications in PubMed indexed Journals. He is associated with the Royal Statistical Society (RSS), London (UK), as a Fellow and a Statistician on the basis of his qualifications and relevant skills in the field of Statistics.
