I am Professor of Library and Information Science, and chair the Institute of Learning Technologies at Eszterházy Károly University, in Jászberény, Hungary. I received my M.A. and PhD from Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Hungary. I am holder of a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Library and Information Science from Kent State University, Kent, OH. My professional interest includes examining the relationship among information literacy, media literacy, digital literacy and data literacy. I also published papers about information overload, the interdisciplinary relationships of Library and information Science with linguistics and with the digital humanities. I am author of a monograph on the theory and practice of abstracting and co-authored a handbook on research and publishing in the natural sciences. My recent book is "Research 2.0 and the Future of Information Literacy", written with Sonja Špiranec and László Z. Karvalics, published by Chandos in 2016.
