Simone Haasler studied Sociology and Economics at the University of Trier and obtained her Ph.D. in Economics and Social Sciences from the University of Bremen in 2009. Between 2001 and 2017 she worked at the University of Bremen for different research institutes, in particular as Senior Lecturer at the Centre for Social Policy Research (now SOCIUM) and as Research Coordinator at the Centre for Labour and Civic Education (zap). Before joining the University of Bremen in 2001, she worked as Education Specialist in the area of Knowledge Management for the Human Development Network of the World Bank in Washington D.C., USA. Since 2017, Simone Haasler is Head of Department of Knowledge Transfer of GESIS – Leibniz-Institute for the Social Sciences.
