Have been involved in the development of digital infrastructure for information and research for 20 years. Overseen major programmes in digital repositiories, research assets and research data and the development of sustainable national services. Participated in and overseen information and scholarly infrastructure standards, and the development of metadata and protocols for distributed architectures. Currently overseeing the development of national infrastructure for research data sharing in the UK, and wider open data for the support of research management, re-use, dissemination and impact. Work with the Knowledge Exchange (collabroation between CSC, DEFF, SURF, DFG and Jisc) , and head of the office and its representative in RDA Europe - Knowledge Exchange aims to work together towards open scholarship. A member of the UK open research data forum and the open researc data concordat sub group.
