Dessi Kirilova is a fellow at the Moynihan Institute of Global Affairs and the Consortium on Qualitative Research Methods at Syracuse University. A scholar of International Relations and European affairs, she investigates the role of ideas and collective identities in countries’ foreign policies; the processes by which these change over time; as well as the influence of powerful states and international institutions on smaller states. As part of her functions at Maxwell, she is engaged in the development of the Qualitative Data Repository as a data management specialist, and in broader efforts to promulgate the idea and practice of research transparency among fellow qualitative political scientists.
