I'm a researcher and lecturer in the QUT School of Communication and an Affiliated Researcher supporting the Computational Communication and Culture Program within the Digital Media Research Centre. Prior to my academic career, I was a serial tech founder of three software companies creating data platform products, including the first graph database based on an international Web data standard (RDF). As an invited expert, I co-chaired the W3C Government Linked Data working group. Our team of researchers and government data stewards collaborated to publish data standards including DCAT, Cube and ORG, and best practices for government data.
