Prof Martin Shepperd
Professor Martin Shepperd started his career as a software developer for HSBC before returning to academia to complete an MSc and PhD in computer science. He has published 3 books and more than 150 refereed research articles in the areas of software engineering and machine learning. He was also the British Association for the Advancement of Science COPUS Fellow to the Parliamentary Office of Science & Technology (1994-95), the William Evans Visiting Fellow (1996) and the J.A. Valentine Visiting Professor both at the University of Otago, New Zealand (2001) and Adjunct Professor at the Norwegian School of Management (2007-2008). He has been elected as a member of the computing college for the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (1997-present). He is a fellow of the British Computer Society.
