Obwaya Mogire

Obwaya Mogire from Nairobi Kenya is currently Assistant lecturer in the School of Information and Communication Technology, at South Eastern Kenya University –www.seku.ac.ke . Mogire holds MSC in Information Systems from University of Nairobi, Kenya (2011). His bachelor degree is in Bed. Technology from Moi University Kenya (2005). He is currently a PhD Scholar in Information Technology in the School of Computing and Information Technology at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology -www.jkuat.ac.ke . His PhD research lies in Data Science –Open Data in Big Data world, Title : “Open Data Policy and Strategies towards Achieving United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) ”. Promoter of the research is Prof. Muliaro Wafula PhD,FCCS,FCSK ;Director,ICT Centre of Excellence & Open Data –iCEOD , JKUAT www.jkuat.ac.ke/directorates/iceod/ and Prof. waweru Mwangi of Previously Mogire has served as an ICT Director at South Eastern Kenya University (2012-2014) and chairman, department of telecommunication and information technology (2014-2015). Mogire is also interested in Open Data for 2030 SDGs.
