Adam is the Records Management Specialist for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). He is based in Paris. Adam has a degree in International Business from Carleton University (Ottawa) and Masters degrees in Archival Studies and Library and Information Studies from the University of British Columbia (Vancouver). His present work at UNESCO focuses on policy development and standardization of records and archives management practices for UNESCO Headquarters and the organization's nearly 65 field offices, institutes and centres around the world. His professional interests include policy writing, records classification systems, information security, physical space management, digital preservation, and web archiving. He is particularly interested in the protection of documentary heritage and the potential for using data to identify, mitigate and reduce risks to cultural/documentary heritage.
