Unmil Karadkar is a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the School of Information at The University of Texas at Austin. He studies scholarly research practices with an emphasis on the collection and management of research data with an eye toward developing software to support scholars in managing their data. He situates this research at the cross-roads of digital libraries and human-computer interaction. He collaborates with researchers from diverse areas such as the sciences, humanities, and architecture. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Texas A&M University.
