Kate is a Digital Archivist at the Digital Repository of Ireland. She has a Masters in Library and Information Studies from University College Dublin and a background in media and film studies. Her research interests include mainly on open access and health information, as well as the development of institutional repositories and preservation metadata. She co-authored a report for the HSE on the management of their digital repository Lenus, and took part in a research project to explore the role of open access in the information-seeking behavior of Irish general practitioners.
